Aside from the water, Kathy is a very active member of her church at St. Brendan's the Navigator in Cumming.  She believes that God has given us water to heal our bodies.  Kathy resides in Cumming, GA with her husband Larry.  They have three children and 6 grandchildren, all of which live within two miles of them.

Kathy's goal is to reach as many people throughout the world using her program as a way to help others reach a healthier way of life.  Kathy is a cancer survivor.  In 2005 she was diagnosed with cancer of her left kidney.  Within 4 weeks of the removal of her kidney and the successful removal of cancer, Kathy was back in the pool teaching her class with more energy than ever.
